Within the Distribution Center, the Michaels Warehouse Worker's versatility enables them to take on multiple duties to facilitate the accurate, timely, and safe processing of Inbound and/or Outbound freight.

Major Activities:

In a Distribution Center, the process of Receiving involves the acceptance and verification of incoming goods. The Labeling function is associated with applying appropriate labels to the received products for proper identification and inventory management. The Putaway function is responsible for storing received products in their designated locations within the warehouse.

Ensure that you keep an accurate and detailed production log that accounts for adjustments in work assignments, downtime caused by mechanical or technical issues, and any other relevant activities.

Performs other duties as per the requirements of the company.

Physical Requirements:

• Repeatedly lifting and carrying merchandise that ranges from 5 to 60 pounds
• Repetitive use of force to transport materials or equipment
• Persistent standing requirements for tasks involving operation of machinery and driving
• Repeatedly walking, mostly around the storage space
• Repetitive actions involving stretching out, bowing, hunching, lowering, and twirling
• Recurring movement and weight on the wrists, fingers, or hands

Work Environment:

• Proximity to exits and outdoor weather conditions are key determinants of exposure to extreme temperatures in the workplace
• Acceptable sound levels emitted by DC conveyor/sortation machines and powered industrial equipment
• If you operate large machinery, you may notice some occasional shaking or trembling
• The possibility of coming into contact with hazardous fumes and airborne particles exists
